How It Works

At Mathmallows, we use a system of Points, Experience (XP), and Levels to track your progress and reward your efforts. Here’s how it works:

Points and XP from Math Questions

Each question you answer correctly in a test contributes to both your Points and your XP. The amount you receive depends on the difficulty of the question, indicated by stars.

Difficulty (Stars) Points Awarded XP Awarded
1-Star (β˜…) 1 Point 1 XP
2-Star (β˜…β˜…) 2 Points 5 XP
3-Star (β˜…β˜…β˜…) 3 Points 25 XP
4-Star (β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…) 4 Points 50 XP
5-Star (β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…) 5 Points 100 XP
6-Star (β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…) 6 Points 200 XP

Points and XP from Reading

Each Daily Reading or Power-Up Reading session earns you a flat reward, regardless of how many articles you read.

Activity Points Awarded XP Awarded
Reading Session (Daily or Power-Up) 5 Points 30 XP

Points and XP from Writing

Each AI-marked Writing Task rewards you based on your total score (out of 100). The higher you score, the more XP and Points you earn!

Activity Points Awarded XP Awarded
Writing Task (score = S) ⌈S Γ— 0.2 βŒ‰ Points ⌈S Γ— 2 βŒ‰ XP
Example: Score of 80 β†’ ⌈80 Γ— 0.2βŒ‰ = 16 Points & ⌈80 Γ— 2βŒ‰ = 160 XP

How to Use the Points

You earn points from Daily Tests, Tournaments, Reading Sessions, and Writing Tasks β€” and can use them to unlock Mallow characters or redeem Power-Up.

How Your Level is Calculated

Your total XP from all activities (Math, Reading & Writing) is used to determine your level:

level = 100 * ( XP / 30000 ) ^ 0.5

Keep practicing to earn more Points & XP, and watch your level grow!
